My Story
If you haven't met me or gotten to know the ever-changing and always improving man that I am today, you will hopefully get a quick debrief on who I am now, and almost as interesting, what type of man I have been in different stages of my life.
I was raised by two absolutely amazing parents who provided the world to my brother and I. They grew up in environments with enough support to graduate high school, but they had tough family dynamics that still play into their lives today with my grandparents. They paid for their own college and took the risk to go all in and start a grow a small family-owned mortgage brokerage company. I grew up with a massive respect for my parents, so I was a pretty good kid growing up. They provided an amazing education for us in school and dedicated countless hours outside of school to push us to read and learn even more. I was kind of a nerd all through school and I'm extremely grateful for the love for learning that I received from my earlier days. Eventually I got involved with the popular crowds but luckily I stayed away from the drugs and bad decisions that so many people fall into. I think most of us try to block out middle school from our memory from how weird and bizarre that time is in our lives. From the time I was in high school, I felt extremely grateful for the group of guys who I grew up alongside while I was in high school. I would consider a lot of them good friends still to this day. I wasn't the most amazing student but I loved sports. Football and baseball were the two that I played and I was one of better ones. (Take that with a grain of salt, I was on team of like 25 kids total for each sport to starting varsity was almost guaranteed haha).
After high school, I ended up going to Gonzaga University where I felt like I grew a ton and also wasted a lot of my life at times too. I didn't understand why anyone would pay so much money for an education where you are actively falling asleep in your classes due to how boring and irrelevant so many of them were. I am immensely grateful for my parent's assistance through my college but they were the ones who pushed me to go to college more than I wanted to be there. If I was the only one paying for college, there is no chance I would have paid for it on my own. Being taught business by people who have never started a business blew my mind. COVID being in the middle of that certainly didn't help either. But from this pivotal frustration, I felt a burning desire to create something different so that, God-willing, my future kids will be able to flourish in an environment that is nurturing to their growth and success much more than Gonzaga did for me. From the overall mediocre experience of college, I made the decision to pursue my passion and I plan to create a school dedicated to those who want to live happy, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. The school is called CEO University. The goal is a Christian-based school that is almost like a franchise across the US. It is mainly a set of courses taught by some of the world's best teachers in all realms of finance, marketing, technology, business development, leadership, nutrition, economics, history, politics, personal development, public speaking, marriage topics, etc. My goal with this school is to aid in the growth of 1 million leaders from this school.
Once I left college and started into my early years of my professional world, I have gone through a whirlwind of turmoil, much of which, is mainly in my mind. Reality comes quick when you are starting to figure out yourself. What you want to do with your life, where you want to live, and how you want to make an impact on the world. Until I hear different from God, I will continue down this pathway of projects I have in front of me. I will try to give of myself as much as I can, wherever I can. Whether that means I am a shoulder to cry on, a driving force in business, an advisor for health and prosperity, or something else, I will try to do it to the best of my ability.
What I'm Like
It's really hard to describe myself and if you meet me in person, you will likely get a much different perspective on me. I would consider myself more outgoing, talkative, friendly, and confident than most people, probably being in real estate helps with that. I am naturally much more of an introvert though. It has been a fun, brutal, and exciting journey to get myself to be the much more outgoing, confident, and charismatic version you may get to experience. I genuinely believe I can achieve anything in my life, almost to a psychotic level (except maybe playing in the NBA haha).
I love uplifting people in their walk through life and I love showing people how much they mean to me and how much I appreciate the admirable and honorable traits about them. This was a lesson that I have learned from this book and it been an absolute nugget of gold in my life. I always try to dig way deeper than the surface level questions. I think one of my life's callings was to be a podcaster just for the reason that I have a great ability to get people to share the depths of who they are as people and the elements that make them so unique and special. Funny enough, this desire to get to know people (in hindsight was poorly communicated on my end and) resulted in a point of contention in a past relationship. I am genuinely fascinated by people's walks through life and I am always so eager to learn and grow from others around me who have a love for life and a genuine desire to make the world a better place. I believe most people are good and I love challenging others to grow as leaders because leaders are everywhere in life, whether you realize it or not. How I'm Currently Trying to Grow
A growth mindset will carry you extremely far in life. If you feel like you are fixed in your current situation and cannot get out of it, you might feel like you're dying inside.
Anthony V2 is my favorite way to describe the ways I am trying to grow and improve myself. The only way I have been grow into a better version of myself and sustain this growth without falling back onto old habits is by giving God a chance in my life. The only way that I've been able to find this sustained level of peace, growth, and complete joy is by growing in a deepened relationship with Jesus. The connection I have built with Him has allowed communication with the source of love in my life. I love this song because it sums it up pretty well.
If you get to know me, you will learn that I constantly try to improve myself and strive becoming a better version of myself every day. This is an honest approach to living life and I am unapologetically content with the journey I am on as a man. It has been the foundation of my fulfillment and it's the strongest form of self-love I know. It's my goal to be a better man every single day for myself, for my future kids, future wife, for friends, for strangers, and for the next generation of people who want to live fulfilling lives.
If there is one way that you want to solidify your involvement in my life as a long-term friend, partner, business partner, or anything in-between, you should be pouring value out from your life. Whether it be the smiles you bring others, how you support and grow those around you, the energy you bring to people, or how you give of yourself without asking anything in return, these are just a couple of examples of how to stick in my life for a while.
I want to make a clear distinction here as well. I intentionally didn't say anything about how you treat me as a person. While I do care how you treat me, I am more interested in how you treat others because it says magnitudes about who you are. Also, when I say "successes in life," I don't specifically mean material success. While the personal qualities and traits needed to create success in one's life are often worth to be studied, I am more compelled by surrounding myself with people who pray more than me, who read the bible more than me, who give of themselves more than me, who reach more people than I do, who bring more energy than me, have a burning love for life, who love more unconditionally than me, and people who live their lives closer to Jesus than I do. If you can challenge me in areas of faith, health, relationships, parenting, exercise, creating impactful businesses, or self-development, I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to sharpen myself with someone like you in my life.
Here is the type of person I am trying to become.
My Dream Life
At the center of any man's life is an amazing woman, or so I thought for a time. I now believe that at the center of a strong man's life is the faith in himself to carry out his mission of what he feels called to in his life. I think this only comes through a strong faith in God and the active seeking out of God's voice in your life. This doesn't mean that I don't want an amazing woman at the center of my life, it means that this woman won't be the center of my life at which all of my life's decisions revolve around. I want someone who I can spend all of my time and money on and someone who appreciates the work that I've put into the life I am creating. At the center of my dream life, I envision being a strong force of protection, resiliency, peace, love, courageousness, moral, and spiritual guidance to all who I come in contact with, in-person or virtually. I envision building a life of abundance through giving as much of myself as I can.
How I Want to Be Remembered
I want to be remembered as a man that gave his full effort in the things he cared about. I want to be remembered as a man that shows his gratitude for the time on this Earth by cherishing each moment, by lifting people up and praying for people whenever I feel called (and not just when it's convenient), bringing substance and joy to people's lives, inspiring people, rejecting complacency, and making the very best of every moment. I want to be remembered as someone brave enough to take big risks with faith being the major fuel. I want to leave a lasting positive impression on this world because I am crazy enough to believe that I can positively change things at a global scale. I want to be remembered as someone who constantly made people better people, someone with infectious energy, someone people love being around, a strong leader, and one day, an amazing husband and father.
I am a strong advocate that whatever you consume, whether it be negative social media, bad foods, or music with negative messages, you will start to be influenced and altered by it, usually for the worse. I have tried to listen to more and more music that nourishes my soul with Christian music.
I try to be as real as I can with most everything I do, so I'm not going to act like I don't listen to songs with terrible messages but a good beat. A ton of modern rap, hip hop, and pop music is garbage in my opinion regardless of the beat and melody. So many terrible messages in it all that teach people to self-medicate, resort to raves, and get themselves into trouble because of the people and thoughts they surround themselves with. I will never understand and never respect anyone that worships anyone outside of their religious beliefs. For men but especially women that worship certain rap artists, influencers, and even athletes, seem to be usually some of the most lost and disoriented in their life's journey. I have never seen fulfillment at the end of that pathway of partying, chasing never ending dopamine, and recklessly or mindlessly trying to numb yourself or find the next high.
I have tried to change my diet in all realms of life, but my music diet plays a couple roles in my life. First is Christian music. Ever since I really started my relationship with God in late 2023, Christian / worship music has slowly evolved into my favorite genre of music that I listen to. It is powerful, moving, and nurturing like I can't explain. Next is country music, which I think aids in my EQ within relationships, ability to dance with my future wife, or adds some fun to any adventure. And lastly, I think that people can enjoy high energy music and EDM music without losing themselves in the process, but it is extremely important to make the clear distinction between the message and the melody.
